Patrick K. Rode

Patrick Rode's practice is concentrated in civil litigation. Since 1983, he has represented clients in a broad variety of matters, including contract disputes, shareholder litigation, employment disputes, civil rights claims, product liability defense, professional liability matters, tax litigation, insurance disputes, unfair competition litigation, restrictive covenant enforcement, disputes arising from mergers and acquisitions, and real estate and commercial lease disputes. A substantial portion of his practice is devoted to defending asbestos claims. He also regularly advises clients on these matters to help them avoid litigation.

Mr. Rode also advises a number of companies in connection with their general business matters, including contract and lease negotiation, tax matters, corporate organization, merger and sale transactions, and routine corporate record-keeping.

Mr. Rode has an "AV" rating, the highest available, from Martindale-Hubbell.

He is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and the United States Tax Court.

He has been active throughout his life in summer camping and currently serves as Treasurer of the Hayo-Went-Ha Camps Advisory Committee of the State YMCA of Michigan. He is also currently a member of the Council of the North Hills Christian Reformed Church in Troy, Michigan. He is a member of the Birmingham Athletic Club.

Mr. Rode lives in Bloomfield Township, Michigan.
